I must confess I was not expecting too much when I purchased this light but I have to say that i was pleasantly surprised by the amount of light that is emitted.
It really is quite bright and the colour spectrum available is amazing. It is not going to replace a ceiling light, but it will give a lovely tone to the room from which you can read, rest or the other thing! ;o)
All in all, a good buy, give it a try.
I love this product - we have placed it under our favourite piece of artwork and it is amazing how the colours and effect of the picture changes depending on the colour from the lamp. The mood of the room can be changed dramatically also bringing out the tones of the colours of the walls, ornaments and furniture. Great fun to have and play around with depending on the occasion.
